As promised, here we are at part two of my and Alex’s trip to Ireland, complete with all the activities and attractions that we were so lucky to experience. This is what we saw and did, in chronological order:

In late August/early September of 2018, Alex and I took our first trip abroad together to Ireland! Both of us had a great time driving through most of the southern part of Ireland, and we fit A LOT into a small amount of time, so much I’m making two posts about Ireland! Welcome to Part One. As I typed this, I realized that a lot of what we did was pubs, but honestly? That might be one of the best things about Ireland. The different pubs and the connections you can make there. So I’ve highlighted them in the descriptions of the cities below!
I hope you're all surviving out there in the weird world we're living in! Hopefully one good thing for me personally that will come out of this is that I will have more time to dedicate to my blog, starting with this catch-up post from a trip I took in December 2018:
My family and I had our rite of passage into true Disney lore when we celebrated my brother’s birthday at Epcot: we successfully completed drinking around the world! It was a lot of fun and we all highly recommend it as an adult Disney activity to mix it up. However, be warned. It is not a cheap activity. Tickets into the park alone are exorbitant and then drinks average $10/drink, so be prepared and budget. I still think it’s worth it, especially if you know you’ll probably only do it once in your life. This post is a potential guide in how to maximize your experience, and to share ours! The new year is always a time to reflect, which is sort of what I’ve been doing for the last few months. Reflecting on 2018 and trying to organize 2019. And being super busy and lazy.
So that’s what this post is about! Reflection on 2018 and the awesome places I’ve been inside my own country! I put a lot of my travel emphasis on international trips, but the ones that I took inside the US are special to me because of the people I visited. This is a chronicle of the places I went for some quick trips, not including Florida for Christmas, which will have its own post (because we drank around the world at Epcot, and that’s worthy of its own post, guaranteed) with 3 general things that we did and I would recommend you do in each location! Okay, so it’s been so long since this trip!! I’d say I’ve been busy (which I have) but in reality I’ve just haven’t stayed on top of this. With that being said, better late than never?
SO ANYWAYS in July of 2017, Erin and I took a sister trip to Greece!! It was super fun and it was nice to have all that quality time with Erin. Anyways, without further ado than the full+ year of procrastinating I’ve already spent, I will get into the trip! DAY ONE Erin and I met in Newark from our respective homes to catch a flight to Athens together. In classic standby fashion, we both got middle seats. We weren’t next to each other, but we were only a few rows away, so that was nice! Once we were on the flight, I decided to book us tickets on an overnight ferry from Athens to Santorini, but kiiiiinda started panicking when I realized I’d misspelled my email address and then the plane took off and I couldn’t look at my phone anymore and I totally could have paid for internet and made sure it worked but I don’t usually consider paying for internet an option so I didn’t even think about it and basically I was all a mess. The flight attendant must have noticed my aura because when she came by with gelato after the dinner service, she asked me if I wanted two. Which I obviously did. Erin was given a lot of advice on things to do from a nice lady next to her, which involved the lady drawing a map on a napkin to show Erin where we should stay. The napkin was entirely unreadable. But still, very nice. |
