About the AuthorHi! Welcome to my blog! My name is Anya and took off to travel the world for 12 months in the fall of 2015, spending most of that time in New Zealand. My cousin asked me to accompany her on her gap year before college and there was no way I could turn that down! I graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota where I majored in applied mathematics and statistics and minored in geology. I now work as a data analyst in Minneapolis. I played varsity soccer and varsity water polo all four years in school and continue to play and coach today. I love to learn and explore; one of my favorite ways to see new places is to go running. I call any and every experience in life an adventure, feel free to join in!

The Journey |
I'm not even sure where to start. For 7 months in 2015-2016, I was traveling the world with my cousin as she trained for USA Olympic trials in sprint kayaking. I'm went as a stand-in coach, which was a new adventure in and of itself! We went to 10 countries in 7 months, figuring out most of it as we went. I then continued traveling for another 5 months on my own before moving back to the Twin Cities in the fall of 2016. It sounds cliche, but life is the real journey, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
